Jim Denevan has composed countless arial-scale landscape drawings where he makes carvings into the natural surface of the Earth. He’s drawn on the beach where the ocean naturally erases the images with the coming tide, he’s drawn into the snow and even into the desert landscape. In May 2009, Jim was credited with the world’s largest drawing as he carved over 1000 circular shapes into desert sands. The entire piece was wider than Manhattan, New York and it took him about 2 weeks of non-stop work to complete. Check Jim out. He’s well worth your time.
